Assumptions...

Assumptions, a common yet a treacherous word. Nothing kills a man more harshly than his own assumptions. Its hard to say whether all of us usually make the bright assumptions but the word in itself is quite negative. Assuming anything and easily believing isn't anything very new or once in a while situation. We assume what preexists in our mind that's why we accept it so quickly.

There is a hidden box of negative, outrageous thoughts in some corner of our minds. Once anything hits its lock it's forced open. Then flows out a mixture of uncontrollable devil thoughts. If we step into a dark room we assume there's something wrong only because there isn't any light , if we step into a room excessively lit we again assume there's something wrong! We are so used to balanced thoughts that if anything is a little more or less than enough our mind is never ready to accept it.

These assumptions are the most dark , negative side of our personality! Its rare to see a woman say,"I think he loves me truly." But it isn't even near to rare to see a woman say,"I think he hates me." As a matter of fact I read this somewhere, 'tell a girl she's beautiful , she wouldn't believe you easily, tell a girl she's ugly , she would undoubtedly believe you for a lifetime!' 

These thoughts that wear the cloak of assumptions murder! They murder your sincerity, your intellect to deal with situations, your soft side,your trust on others and specially it kills the human in you. People go far to prove their doubts correct. They would do just anything to satisfy this hunger and once they think they were right their senses start to betray them. Not everything we see is the way it is supposed to be. Stars aren't as close as they seem to be. The distance is beyond imagination! There's a short story . 

There was this man who used to mentally harass his wife for dowry. His wife complaints to her father. She is advised to stay calm. One day this man returns home drunk he thrashes his wife in a devilish sort and when he gets tired he sleeps. The girl then called her father again. The next morning her father takes her back home. After a few days when the man realises his loneliness he goes to his in-laws place to take his wife with him. She refuses to go with him and he abuses her before her parents, he then mentions that he is not satisfied with his marriage because he thinks it didn't benefit him. 

His father in-law asks him to go on a walk together. Both of them head out towards the outskirts of the city after walking a lot when the man gets tired he asks the girl's father where were they going , soon he said , we would reach to a place where I purchased a piece of land for you but I would let you have that land as a dowry only for one condition. He said if you could take 15 rounds or even 10 rounds of the entire land it would be yours. The man agreed with greed in his eyes and all the overconfidence of the world.

Soon they reach to the land piece. From far away when the man looks at the ground he assumes that it was enough for him to take those many rounds. He steps into it and begins running. After 5 rounds he loomed like a donkey with load on his back. He slowly understands that the ground was too big to take 12 rounds but he keeps on running. At a point he forgets where he started from , how many rounds he had taken how many more he should take but he decides to keep running. Slowly his throat dries , the sun shines close he feels the stroke and falls down . 

The last memory of his open eyes were his wife running towards him his in-laws standing at a corner and him lying on the ground. He was saved and later he comes to know he ran more than he assumed he could . the land was larger than he assumed it was and her wife was far more loving as he assumed. 

Amongst all this there were lots of assumptions while mostly proved wrong,needless and of no worth. 

Its not by assuming that we reach the destiny its by making an effort. At the end if you don't get what you wanted you wouldn't regret that you didn't make an effort but you'd be happy that you didn't make fake assumptions and dreamt of winning the title. Just judging that a person is worth your love or hatred makes you the most worthless. 

Don't assume , believe instead!!
